England C (ICT) Preview of the fixtures.

By Sam Heaney

England have 3 fixtures in the group stages to fulfil in this years International Challenge Trophy (ICT.)

The three lions will kick-start their campaign with a Home tie against Italy at Highbury Stadium. It should be an exciting game with both sides advancing through the group stages in the last tournament, England, of course, going one better than their opponents Italy. Both sides are well managed and it is a great honour that Fleetwood Town will hold the opening game.

The next fixture will be in June, an away game against Russia. It will be an interesting tie for the away side as Russia did not participate in the 2010-2011, tournament which means it will be tough for Manger, Paul Fairclough to judge and approach the tricky fixture. The fact of it being the first away game can also make things tougher for England but they should over-come the task.

The third and possibly final fixture will be yet another away trip, this time to Belgium in September. This could be the most important game, the decider of who will advance from the group stages. The meeting between the two sides will also be highly competitive after the previous Semi-Final in which England have the bragging rights.

The games are spread out over the year instead of there being in one pile up in which the team are together for a longer perioin of time. This will mean the players will be able to re-group with their clubs and squad members in-between each ICT fixture to concentrate on the league.
