Peter Till - York City program

York City visit Highbury tonight with a player link. Peter Till who is one of the 12 summer signings made by Micky Mellon was a York player last season after signing a year deal with the Minstermen scoring 4 goals.

The winger signed a 2 year contract with Fleetwood with a lot of promise and understandably raring to go with the 2011/2012 season, with York being Towns 5th game in the fixture list.

Unfortunately Peter was denied the start of the season with a pre-season injury that the 25 year old picked up leaving him on crutches watching from the sidelines as his new team mates take on the challenge of being league favourites.
.
There has been a number of injury’s that have disrupted the schedule of the season which has resulted in 4 signings being made after the original 8 just to replace the positions that have left gaps in positions for Fleetwood.

The player isn’t the 'injury-prone' type as last season he managed to complete 45 appearances with 41 of them in the league. Till will be all for getting over his injury to make a start to his season and will be fighting to get fit and merge himself into the starting line up for the Cod Army.

The summer signing can play on the left or right sides of midfield and is a very tricky player. He calls himself an old-fashioned winger and uses his pace and fitness to get at the opposing full-backs and create chances for his team mates.

Hopefully, Peter Till can make a speedy recovery and show everyone at the club why he was signed and help with the upcoming success with Fleetwood Football Club and use his experience at higher levels to guide the side to bigger and better things!
